Check-in: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Late check-in is available if you notify us in advance.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee. Rules:
- Maximum 1 dog per reservation
- 60 lb weight limit
- Must remain on a 6-foot leash under owner supervision
- Cannot be left unattended in accommodations
- Owners must clean up waste using provided bags at relief stations
Guests arriving with unauthorized dogs may be denied accommodations. Damage charges apply to any pet-caused damage.
All accommodations include A/C, heating, lighting, electrical outlets, an outdoor fire pit, and complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Safari tents also include a mini-refrigerator. Cabins do not have a refrigerator.
Tents #13–#20: Private ensuite bathrooms.
Cabins and tents #1–#12: Shared communal bathhouse (clean, well-maintained, and a short walk from your site).
Yes — a resort-style pool and spa available to all overnight guests. Pool closes at dusk. Towels are provided in your room or at the front desk. No lifeguard on duty.
Day pool passes are also available for non-guests via ResortPass.
For overnight stays (safari tents and cabins), book directly at ranchomoonrise.com — booking direct gets you the best rates.
For weddings, private events, or corporate retreats, schedule a tour first: call 737-291-1260 or use the contact form. Packages are discussed during the tour, not listed online.

Events range from live music nights and crawfish boils to yoga mornings and themed weekends. Most are open to the public — overnight guests can make it a full weekend.
About 20 minutes east of downtown Austin. Plug 20117 Lockwood Road into Google Maps and it'll take you right to us. Easy highway drive — no long haul required.
No outside alcohol is allowed at Rancho Moonrise. Beer, wine, snacks, and essentials are available at the on-site Lodge.
Absolutely. The ranch is kid and family friendly with play areas and a pool. Pack-and-plays fit in safari tents (not cabins). Safari tents #7–#8 are recommended for families with young children.
One complimentary parking spot per reservation in the general lot. You can drive to your site to unload, then return your vehicle to the parking lot — vehicles cannot remain at individual sites overnight.
Complimentary WiFi is available in the Lodge. The ranch is designed for unplugging — but we understand you may need to check in.
Yes — fire pits are available throughout the property. Fires must be extinguished by midnight. Fire pit use is subject to any active county fire bans. Firewood is available for purchase at The Lodge.
Quiet hours begin at 9:30 PM. This is a shared property with families and other guests — please be respectful of noise levels after curfew.
Full refund if canceled within 5 days of booking. No refunds for inclement weather. Please review our full policies page for details.
Yes — email us with your group size and preferences and we'll do our best to arrange adjacent sites. All sites are a minimum of 20 feet apart. For larger groups, consider a full ranch buyout.
Yes — Rancho Moonrise is a working ranch with livestock and wildlife on the property. No hunting is allowed. Please be mindful of animals and follow posted guidelines.
